Hello everyone, I just installed Windows 7 - 64 bit. Supposedly the driver for the HP Officejet 5510 will install automatically in Windows 7 when connected via a USB, which is not happening. I am getting the message that Windows 7 can't find the driver. I don´t understand why? My Windows Update is set to automatic. I see the device under printers. I gave up and bought another printer -not HP. It is appalling that HP decides it will no longer support a product, does not inform its customer base, preferring instead to conceal it's strategy behind a Windows upgrade.

HP customers are left stranded, confused and to waste valuable time trying to find a solution that doesn't exist. A previously loyal base of customers is now disenfranchised because of gutless, unconscious and irresponsible product management. If HP HAD a conscious, it would at the very least inform us that it no longer supports this product and stop pointing us toward Microsoft for a driver that doesn't exist.

Just own up to the fact that you are not developing a driver to work with Windows 8, just tell us you no longer support the product! Not good enough HP. I will never have confidence in another HP product.
